When I was 24, I received my first camera from my parents: I was leaving Belgium, my native country, to go to Australia where I worked and travelled for one year. I have not stopped taking photographs since. My camera accompanies me everywhere I go, for reunions with family and friends, events or trips, to record everlasting memories.

After a career in the City of London, I embarked on a Post-Graduate Diploma at the British Academy of Photography which I completed with Distinction in September 2022. This taught me multiple photography techniques and took my skills to a higher level: It has helped me raise the quality and composition of my photographs as well as broadening my photographic styles beyond people and events, venturing into studio, street and landscape photography. It also taught me the importance of research, planning and the value of practising new techniques.

In addition to reportages for events and photoshoots, both outdoors and in studio, I enjoy going on photography outings and trips abroad with my friends from the British Academy of Photography. I am also a member and committee member of the Richmond and Twickenham Photographic Society, where I continue learning with like-minded people and practising in a professional and friendly environment.

Photographing people has remained my passion, whether at events, photoshoots or when strolling on the street: I do so by engaging with people to create a connection and capture something of their personality.

“It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head.”
Henri Cartier-Bresson
